6 Christmas Gifts for the Motorcyclist on Your List

Author: Lawrence Roby

Well, it’s the Holiday season again, already!! For children, the anticipation of getting that special unobtainable gift brings the passage of time to a halt (Like: Cartman’s, of South Park fame, quest for the Wii.) For those of us who have to figure out what the spectacular gift is and have to pay for it that’s another story. “Time is aflyin”!!! Christmas day will be here in no time flat.

If you’ve got a motorcycle enthusiast in the family maybe you could use a few tips for some open road cycle gear to find that memorable gift for your beloved biker.

Motorcy
cle Helmets:
If you really want that special motorcyclist to see another Holiday season maybe you should look at your biker's old safety equipment. Manufacturers recommend that Helmets 5-years old or that have had some impact should be replaced. There is a phenomenal selection of motorcycle helmets that meet DOT-approved standards. Motorcycle Helmet styles ranging from full face for maximum protection against elements and impact, to the popular and preferred half helmet style of cruiser riders, and now there are DOT-approved novelty styles like the popular WWII German helmet. Shop at the right place and they won’t burst the Christmas Club budget.

Take a look at their riding apparel. If it has fallen to disrepair or just has seen better days here are a few items that would be a welcomed gift.

Leather Jackets:
Leather is most preferred by motorcyclist for its looks, durability and protective properties. Leather Jacket styles abound to just about anybodies tastes but a few features you should look for are adjustable venting, removable lining, and adjustable collar, waist and cuffs. These motorcycle jacket features optimize comfort in most weather conditions and comfort goes a long way for safety. Shop at the right online vendor and you’ll get a motorcycle jacket with both quality and value.

Leather Chaps and Pants:
Chaps are not for everybody but a welcomed addition when riding in cooler weather conditions and are mostly worn by cruiser style motorcycle riders. Leather chaps make a great gift and come in several styles and colors to match other apparel preferences and fit well into tight budgets too.

Motorcycl
e boots:

Motorcycle Boots are another safety must. I see many riders wearing low cut canvas sports shoes, definitely a no-no. For safety sake motorcycle boots should have at least a 6” ankle cover and oil resistant soles for a positive grip on the road. Quality, stylish and comfortable motorcycle boot pricing can get out of hand but this online site has the value solution for motorcycle boots.

L
eather Gloves:

Leather Motorcycle Gloves come in several styles. The primary riding season is obviously the summer season but protection is still a requirement. Missiles of varying types impact the motorcyclist almost continually.
Fingerless Motorcycle Gloves have padded palms to relieve grip pressure on long rides in addition to protection. Motorcyclists are a hardy bunch and enjoy riding in harsh conditions that dictate a fully protective insulated motorcycle glove. Either style of motorcycle glove can be purchased at stocking stuffer prices.

No matter what type of motorcycle gear you buy as a gift for the biker in your life, you can't go wrong with any of these motorcycle gear suggestions to ensure another year of joyful safe motorcycle riding. Happy Holidays!!
